Sunshine and Blue Skies

Whether you believe in war or not, these are the moments that make you realize that you yourself are only one small, pitiful piece of a puzzle so large that no one notices you missing by the end of the day.

Since 9/11, I've avoided the media completely. I've rarely known what's been going on in the world simply because I've chosen to be ignorant. Unfortunately, it seems like that period of my life will be coming to a stop. It's hard to avoid what's so blatantly in front of you, teasing you and slowly re-carving your world.

I hope the United States does well. Since it's virtually impossible to "win," let's just do well. Let's go and kick ass. It doesn't matter if you call this a war or not, in the end it's just another battle—just a big fucking one. The war, my friend, will rage on.

Something good will come out of this. Something good has to.
